Engagement
Clear ways to work together.
Hermida Technologies offers three engagement models, each with defined scope and honest pricing signals. Every engagement follows the same principle: understand the work first, then build the smallest system that fully solves the problem.
Engagement models
Three ways to engage.
Whether you need clarity, a system built, or a long-term partner, there is a model shaped for it.
Systems assessment
A fixed-price, fixed-scope review of how work actually flows — what slows it down, what software could fix, and what should not be built at all.
From $4,000 · 2–3 weeks
Fixed-scope build
A defined project with a clear scope, phased delivery, and working software early. For custom software, client portals, and operational systems.
Typically $15k–$100k+ · 6–16 weeks
Retained partner
Ongoing design, development, and system stewardship on a monthly cadence — for organizations that want a long-term systems team without hiring one.
From $2,500 / month
Ranges describe typical engagements, not quotes. After a short conversation we provide a written proposal with a fixed price or a clear monthly scope.
How projects run
Focused, phased, and visible.
Every build engagement follows the same disciplined arc.
- 01
Discovery
We map the real workflow — the people, the information, the waiting, and the breakage.
- 02
Design
A written design with clear scope and priorities, agreed before anything is built.
- 03
Build and validate
Working software in phases, tested against the real workflow — not the original assumption.
- 04
Operate and evolve
Documentation, handover, and optional retained stewardship as the system grows with the work.
What shapes investment
What actually drives cost.
The same idea can cost very different amounts depending on six factors. Here is the honest list.
Scope and depth
How much of the workflow the system covers, and how bespoke the fit needs to be.
Integrations and data
How many systems connect, how clean the data is, and what has to move.
Security and compliance
Access control, privacy obligations, and audit requirements for your industry.
Urgency
Compressed timelines need more parallel effort, which shapes cost and schedule.
Client participation
Fast, decisive feedback keeps projects lean; slow review cycles extend them.
After launch
Who maintains the system and how quickly it needs to evolve with the work.
Local price guarantee
Have a written quote from a local provider? We beat it by 10%.
If your organization is based in Florida, bring us a written quote from a comparable local provider. If we can deliver the same scope, our price for that scope is guaranteed to come in at least 10% lower.
You are located in Florida.
The guarantee applies to organizations based in our home state.
You have a written quote.
A genuine, written quote from a comparable provider for a defined scope.
We price the same scope.
We verify the scope matches, then beat the quote by at least 10%.
Request a quote
Tell us what you need priced.
Share the scope and, if you have one, the quote you want beaten. You will receive a written price — no surprises.
Questions
Straight answers.
Why not just use off-the-shelf software?
When a standard tool fits your workflow, we will say so — adapting a good product is sometimes the right answer. We build custom when the way you operate is the advantage, and generic software would force your work into someone else’s shape.
What happens in an assessment if we do not build anything?
That is a successful assessment. You receive a mapped system, a prioritized set of opportunities, and an honest recommendation — including the recommendation not to build. The map alone is usually worth the engagement.
How do you keep budgets from drifting?
Scope is written down before anything starts, delivery is phased, and you see working software early. Changes are handled as explicit decisions with explicit costs — never absorbed silently into the invoice.
Who owns the system when it is done?
You do. Every engagement includes the documentation, credentials, and knowledge transfer needed for your organization to own the result with or without us.
Start with a conversation, not a contract.
Describe the workflow you want to fix. We will tell you honestly whether an assessment, a build, or nothing at all is the right next step.
